What's the story behind the factory? Following the 1971 war that established Bangladesh and brought with it poverty and disease, Saidpur Enterprises began in 1976 as a project to help the mothers of malnourished children with emloyment producing jute handicrafts and now supports artisans selling for a larger fair trade export market.They also provide literary classes, training on nutrition, women's legal rights, educational awareness and finance.

I have purchased 19 of these bags over the past 6 years. I get sooo many compliments from the grocery staff and other random people on any given day. These bags are exceptional. Extremely durable and pretty. This one came with a long strap which I wasn’t expecting. I don’t think it was in the description., but much appreciated.

I have to take the time and tell you how impressed I am with this company. I ordered a bag for myself and had a customized and it shipped a few days after I ordered it and then the next day I ordered another one for a present and send an email out wiht my concerns. (My Mistake) They were extremely nice and helpful that it blew away. I haven't dealt with such a wonderful company like this in such a very long time.
