Following the 1971 war that established Bangladesh and brought with it poverty and disease, Saidpur Enterprises began in 1976 as a project to help the mothers of malnourished children with emloyment producing jute handicrafts and now supports artisans selling for a larger fair trade export market.They also provide literary classes, training on nutrition, women's legal rights, educational awareness and finance.

Love at First Sight!

My bag arrived yesterday. I admired the attractive and eco-friendly packaging, and was astonished by how quickly my order arrived. I haven't yet used the bag, but it is definitely much higher quality than any other "tote bag" I own. This is a work of art! I can't wait for the local farmers' markets to open so I can stroll through looking absolutely fabulous with my Apolis bag.
