Since October 2014 Raan and I have been proud to be two of the five mentors for The Venture presented by Chivas Regal, a global search with a $1M reward for the most promising social entrepreneurs. Raan and I spent two days in San Francisco to celebrate the final events for The Venture and on July 23rd, the evening before The Venture Final Pitch, Raan and I were introduced at a private gathering by Pernod Ricard Chairman and CEO, Alex Ricard. We were pleased to share an exclusive piece of media showcasing our industrial design project in Mexico that we are proud to release October 2015. The goal of the preview was to share our vision for Apolis’ future with our model of Advocacy through Industry. A group of over 100 guests enjoyed an amazing space, drinks, and food thanks to the hospitality of Chivas Regal and The Battery.

The following day, Raan and I attended the final event of The Venture by Chivas Regal. We were flattered to be asked to create a welcoming installation displaying our model of advocacy through industry at the venue inside Herbst Pavilion. The event was beautifully orchestrated with a welcoming exhibition space interactively featuring all sixteen finalists for The Venture, spread across five continents (Latin American, Asia, North America, South America, Europe). After the welcoming exhibition and cocktail hour, the five finalists pitched their businesses to the judging panel in front of a live audience of 250 influencers, social innovators, business leaders and media. The judging panel consisted of Hollywood actor, Adrian Grenier, as well as editor of Fast Company’s Co.Exist, Morgan Clendaniel. The inspiring female on the panel was past director of Social Innovation and Civic Participation at the White House, Sonal Shah. Lastly, the panel was anchored by the leader of the Chivas brand and quite a few other brands in the Pernod Ricard portfolio, Alex Ricard. The event was hosted by actor and comedian, James Corden, and after the pitch, there was live music thanks to Aloe Blacc. It was a memorable couple days in San Francisco that Raan and I were privileged to play a small role in such a forward-thinking campaign.

Join us in October 2015 to see the future of Advocacy through Industry.
