On October the 22nd, we were proud to continue our free-admission community speaking series at Apolis: Common Gallery located in the Arts District of downtown Los Angeles. The goal of our speaking series is to invite industry leaders to share their perspective on how their profession impacts & fosters community.
This was our eight live conversation, focused on how innovation impacts community. The event was moderated by engineer and entrepreneur Brent Bushnell. The two panelists were the co-founder of Media Art Lab, James Vincent, & chief marketing officer of Flextronics, Michael Mendenhall. Brent Bushnell sparked a 30-minute live discussion with insightful questions of his own and spontaneous questions from the audience and social media. The evening was concluded with a surprise visit from Salvador Pulido from Studio Xaquixe with whom, in conjunction with Chivas Regal, we are currently launching the Global Exchange Project to create the first artisan & designer marketplace collaboration. Salvador presented a short film, directed by Duncan Wolfe, narrating the story of this project that took a complete year to develop. Special thanks to the 200+ guests that joined us, Chivas Regal and our friends from Pharmacie LA for mixing such amazing drinks.
The following photostory is a preview of the upcoming short film that will showcase highlights from the evening of October 22nd. We hope you will join us for our next event at Apolis: Common Gallery that we will announce soon. Contact our Service Manager, Danny Quesada, for a personal invite once details for our next event are finalized.
